Marvel Black Widow: No Restraints Play

Collects Black Widow (2019) #1-5. Jen and Sylvia Soska — the Twisted Twins — tell a story of vice, violence and vengeance! Natasha Romanoff was trained to kill. For years now, she’s tried to overcome that programming to side with the angels — to be a hero. And where did that get her? Killed.

By one of the few true friends she allowed herself to have. Now the Black Widow is back from the dead, angry as hell and finding those better angels harder and harder to hear. Natasha cuts a swath through the island underworld of Madripoor, and she has a party to crash — one filled with ruthless villains. But soon Natasha will be trapped in someone else’s dark web!

Dearest Readers,
Thank you for coming along with us for this ride. It was a privilege to get to write such a ballsy story with one of the most recognizable super heroes in media today. To get to work with such a high profile character with subject matter that is very real and unfortunately, in real life, we don’t get a Black Widow to clean up the messes. We have to arm ourselves with education and critical thought. We have the power within ourselves to do great things.

We wish our grandmother was still here today because she loved grabbing us Marvel Comics as kids & she would have gotten a big kick out of knowing get are writing our own stories today. We never dreamed we would get such a brilliant opportunity on a book we are so incredibly proud of. We would like to thank our editor Jake Thomas who has always gone to bat for us & is the kind of collaborator that makes you do your best work, Flaviano who created such a genuine, human Nat in a world of horror with his art, Veronica Gandini’s brilliant colors that brought everything to life, Clayton Crain’s covers who enticed people to pick up the book, Joe Caramagna’s beautiful lettering, and everyone at Marvel that worked hard to make this book the success that it has been.

If you’re a fan reading this and you have dreams of writing these iconic characters, follow your dreams, because if you work hard and treat people with respect, you will find success. Living a life like that is success.

Thank you for reading, thank you for the kind words online, thank you YOU for picking up this book. It was the thrill of a lifetime to get to write this series. Anytime, Marvel, you know we’ll always clear our schedule for you!
